this is Pinggg…K!

February 1, 2016

We are an open mic poetry group that meets the last Tuesday evening of the month 7.30 – 9.30. but see Noticeboard below.

We meet at The Criterion, 44 Millstone Lane, Leicester LE1 5JN.

The event is compered by Leicester Gay Grey Poet, Bobba Cass, and invited featured performers.

A poetry circle starts promptly at 1930 (7.30 pm), then after a break about 2015, an open mic. Perform your own poetry, said or read, sung or enacted.

A featured poet / artist / performer concludes the evening’s programme.

Magnus Gestsson now launches Galleri Gestur in Reykjavik. See the Facebook Galleri Gestur page.

A Pinggg…K! cake, and nibbles, are provided.

Pinggg…K! is FREE but come prepared to participate in a lively evening of metrosexual verse.

Pinggg…K! is part of the burgeoning People’s Arts Collective, Leicester. Find out more about this on Facebook at PAC – Leicester.

Comments from first time visitors to Pinggg…K!  –

‘It was lovely to be in a place in which a real mix of people came to enjoy an alternative creative event.  The atmosphere, warmth and energy from everyone were greatly appreciated.’

‘this is my first time at any sort of poetry event and it’s been interesting to see the breadth of material and the different ways people read and perform. A really warm and friendly, welcoming event and a great bar!’

  1. The most welcoming of evenings, where the collective wings of the assembled company are able to spread and be lifted on Bobba Bennett’s warm sky-bound thermals.
